STUNNING PERFORMERBorn in Manchester, Talia began playing the violin at primary school before attending Chetham’s School of Music for nine years where she studied the violin and piano, before switching to the viola in her fifth year.
There, she played in Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra until her final year, in which she also led the viola section. She achieved her ABRSM Performance Diploma in 2014 with a distinction and in her final year at Chetham’s she was also part of the National Youth Orchestra. She completed her Masters degree with Distinction in 2019 under the tutelage of Susie Meszaros at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she also completed her Bachelors degree. During her studies there she has been so fortunate as to complete her orchestral work experience with the BBC Philharmonic and win first prize in the RNCM Viola Prize 2018 competition. Talia is an avid orchestral, session and chamber music player. She has and continues to perform with orchestras and ensembles such as the Chineke! Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic and the Ignition Orchestra in renowned venues like The Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall. Through her session work, she has also loved being able to play for a number of artists such as Ed Sheeran, Adele, Lewis Capaldi and more and has played on TV shows including Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, The Graham Norton Show, The Voice UK and more. |
